The small
print.

The people behind the photographs, a note on privacy and a map of the journal.

A note on the publication

Vistula Notes is a small editorial project about cities and everyday observation. Edition 01 brings together four city introductions, six essays, three thematic collections and a field guide. The writing is intended to encourage attentive exploration, not to provide current opening hours, commercial recommendations or guaranteed routes.

Check up-to-date local information before making practical plans. Images illustrate a sense of place and may show a different season, time or viewpoint from the essay alongside them. They do not establish firsthand travel experience on the part of the publication.

A quieter approach to privacy

This site has no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration or newsletter form. Its pages and images are served directly from the site. Searching the journal and filtering stories happen in your browser; your search text is not sent to a search service. The site does not use cookies or local storage.

The hosting server may process standard request information, such as an IP address, requested path and time, for delivery and security. External links, including photography credits, lead to separate websites with their own policies. Following one is your choice; those services are not contacted merely because you read a journal page.

Reading the journal

The layouts adapt to small and large screens. Navigation uses ordinary links, images have text alternatives, and the page structure uses headings and landmarks. A skip link leads directly to the main content. Visible focus styles support keyboard use, and animation is reduced when your device requests reduced motion.

The search dialog can be closed with Escape. You can browse every page without search or filters, using the navigation and the page index below. Text can be enlarged with your browser controls. These are design choices rather than a claim of a completed independent accessibility certification.
